Criminals use dirty tricks in E.ON's service area

2008.09.08

Nagykanizsa, 09/08/2008 – There has been an unfortunate increase recently in the number of cases where criminals use the name of a service provider such as E.ON to gain the trust of their victims. Claiming to be visiting on behalf of E.ON, these criminals typically steal from elderly people.

E.ON would again like to remind its customers that it does not employ fee collectors. Please do not believe any attempts to convince you otherwise. E.ON employees always present their identification, and all they ever do is read the meter and write down its serial number. They do not accept payment of any kind, and they do not make payments in cash.

Our employees always use handheld data input devices and always present their photo ID card.

E.ON Energiaszolgáltató Kft and the Crime Prevention Team of the Nagykanizsa Police Department would like to ask everyone to immediately report to the police any behavior that deviates from the procedure described above.
