Community
As an energy provider, we are an integral part of the communities in which we operate. We promote economic development in the places where we are based by making large-scale investments. We take our responsibilities to local communities seriously and play an active role in many areas. We support foundations, take part in donation drives, hold contests, give out awards, and support our employees' involvement in the community. We focus primarily on sports, art and culture, children and young people, and community development projects. At the same time maintaining a dialogue with our neighbors is also of prime importance to us as this provides a stronger basis for our business.
Children and young people
Support for the next generation, that is, children and youth and thereby building the future is perhaps E.ON’s most important investment. Therefore we lay special emphasis on supporting health & sports, and on conveying the importance of quality culture and education. Parallelly, our community commitment largely involves supporting children and young people. We want to give the coming generations prospects for the future and help them prepare for life's challenges.
Dialogue with our neighbors
We maintain good neighbourly relations at all of our locations by means of continuous dialogue with local residents. We organize regional forums where we inform the public of our activities in a timely fashion, and we respond to criticism
Sports
We devote special attention to supporting team sports. The Group demonstrates its dedication to sports primarily in regions where we supply energy to a wide customer base.
Arts and culture
E.ON has a long-standing tradition of supporting arts and culture.
Promoting science
We foster new ideas, especially in the energy sector. This is primarily done through foundations and grants.
Donations
Countless people and organizations rely on donations. As a good corporate citizen, E.ON plays its part.
