Using energy safely

Our company operates a power and gas network that stretches nearly 100,000 kilometers. This network can give rise to dangerous conditions and situations that require your cooperation if serious accidents are to be avoided.

Unfortunately, there are several serious and sometimes even fatal accidents that occur every year because people get too close to the electricity distribution network or come in contact with it, or because people damage the gas network. These accidents can only be prevented if we are all aware of the safety risks posed by these services and act consciously to prevent accidents.

We have created this web page to help you learn about these risks and the safety measures you should take to avoid them.

All of our equipment is designed and installed in a manner that makes it impossible for the public to come into contact with the hazardous parts.

People should be particularly careful when they are involved in any of the following activities near the electricity and gas network:

  • Construction, demolition
  • Certain activities that can occur near power lines (angling, flying kites, pruning, cutting down trees, etc.)
  • Transporting and delivering materials
  • Agricultural work

Don’t forget

Always keep away from overhead power lines, supporting poles, transformer stations, and construction areas that could have live power lines. Don’t take risks! Safety first!
