Andrássy Gyula German Language University of Budapest
E.ON donated a 2,500-volume library to the Andrássy University in 2006. The company is sponsoring the lectures of renowned Hungarian and foreign guest professors in 2009.
Andrássy University, which is the only German-language university in a non-German-speaking country, was established at the initiative of Hungary, Austria and the German states of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg. The university’s goal is to promote the integration of Central Europe into the European Union. The German-language education provided by the university includes training leaders for the region who will be able to understand and grasp the special situation in which the area finds itself.
