The core values of the E.ON Group include inspiring objectives, cooperation, continuous learning and development and celebrating success together. These key values also have an important role in sports since sports are also characterized by teamwork, constant renewal, the inner drive that spurs one on to constantly improve and achieve more as well as shared joy. Our shared values unite us; this is why the E.ON Group has become the key sponsor of Hungarian water polo in 2017.

Hungarian water polo is a sport in which Hungarians take great pride. The national team has a lot of fans, and many children see the players as role models. This is a sport in which we have constantly been one of the best in the world for nearly a hundred years, and we still are. The traditions of Hungarian water polo are known and recognized throughout the world. The men’s team has won nine Olympic titles, three World Cup titles and twelve European Championships, and the women’s team two World Cups and three European Championships. These achievements have made the Group decide to back the Hungarian national water polo teams.

Since September 2014 the E.ON Hungária Group has been the main sponsor of the Hungarian women’s and men’s water polo teams and the Hungarian Water Polo Association as well as the title sponsor of the E.ON Men’s First League National Championships and the E.ON Men’s Super Cup. Since 2017 the Group has been the key sponsor of the Hungarian women’s and men’s water polo teams and the Hungarian Water Polo Association as well as the title sponsor of the E.ON Men’s First League National Championships.
